Carrying on the traditions of providing exceptional dental care to her patients is important to Dr. Christina Shaw! After all, her father started these traditions nearly forty years ago.

Dr. Christina Shaw
Dentist
Dr. Christina Shaw holds a BA from Georgetown University, a DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was thrilled to return to her home state of Massachusetts in 2018 after practicing for several years in northern Virginia.
Dr. Shaw believes strongly in continuing education to bring the latest to her patients as well as staying engaged in the dental community to help and learn from colleagues. She is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the Dental National Honor Society), the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Worcester District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also certified to provide Invisalign and in the use of the soft tissue diode dental laser. She is an active participant in many local dental study clubs and holds a leadership position with the Worcester Dental Society. She has been traveling out to the Spear Education facility in Arizona working her way through their highly respected continuing education curriculum.
Dr. Shaw was honored to carry on the tradition her father started over forty years ago in her hometown and close to her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews within the Wachusett Region. Her favorite part of general dentistry is the ability to forge strong connections with patients who become like family as well!
When she's not looking after patients, Dr. Shaw can be found running (she qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2025!), reading, and spending time with her husband and two small children.
Gene
Office Manager
Gene is originally from Leicester, MA and received her training at Mount Ida College. She is one of the first faces you'll see at Shaw Family Smiles, and her patients are also her friends as she's been with the practice for 39 years!
The relationships that she's built over the years with her patients and coworkers are the most important thing to Gene and one of the best aspects of her job.
When she's not at the office, you can find Gene spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She also enjoys cooking.
Jennifer B
Dental Assistant
Jennifer is originally from Worcester, MA, and she received her training at Westfield State University. Jennifer has been a dental assistant at our practice for 16 years.
The aspect of the job that Jennifer loves best is the people she has gotten to know and work with over the years.
When she's not taking care of patients, Jennifer loves reading, hiking, arts, and sports.
Erica S
Hygienist
Erica lives in Barre with her husband Noel. They have two adult children. Erica received her training at Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and has been taking care of patients at our practice for over 35 years! She enjoys the patients she works with and appreciates the practice’s approach to providing individualized care. In her free time, Erica likes spending time with her family and friends traveling, crafting, and attending country music concerts.
Patty B
Hygienist
Patty is originally from Worcester, MA, and she received her training at Quinsigamond Community College. She is a familiar face at Shaw Family Smiles as she's been with the practice for nine years.
For Patty, one of the best things about being a hygienist is being able to treat her patients and seeing the improvements this brings for their oral health. She also enjoys building relationships with her patients and co-workers.
When Patty is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending weekends in Maine, visiting her son and daughter in New York, and her grandchildren.
